Comprehensive Benefits

We provide generous benefit programs designed to attract and retain high-performing employees. Benefits packages for Sterling Computers employees typically include the following items, although benefit packages may vary by department.

Medical Plan
United Health Care is the medical plan offered to Employees. The company pays a portion of the employee’s premium.

Dental Plan/Vision Plan
Ameritas and VSP (Vision Services Plan) is offered. The employee pays 100% of the cost of insurance.

Disability Coverage
Standard Insurance Company is the provider for both Short-term Disability (STD) and Long-term Disability (LTD) coverage, which is free to the employee. STD pays 60% of the employee’s weekly salary and begins on the 8th day of accident or illness and continues up to 180 days. On the 181st day, LTD activates and begins paying 60% of the employee’s weekly salary and may continue up to age 65.

Life Insurance
Premiums are paid by the company, providing employees with a life insurance policy that is equal to 2x annual salary through Standard Insurance. Employees are also given the opportunity to purchase additional life insurance for themselves at the cost of the employee.

Paid Time off (PTO)
Sterling Computers employees are offered Paid Time Off (PTO) on a accrual based system. PTO may vary based on contractual requirements and will be determined in the offer letter.

401(k) Retirement Plan
Securian allows employees to tax-defer up to the maximum dollar amount allowed by law. Sterling Computers matches 50% up to 8% of an employee’s salary for a maximum of 4%.

Education Assistance
Sterling Computers recognizes its employees are vital resources whose talents are critical to the success of the company. The employee and supervisor decide together the Tuition Assistance Plan. This encourages self-improvement through formal education so that employees can improve or maintain job-related skills or enhance their ability to compete for reasonably attainable jobs with Sterling Computers.
