Secure Supply Chain

Sterling has developed one of the most comprehensive Secured Supply Chain programs in the industry. This program combines traditional practices of supply chain management with the security requirements of the Federal Government system. All Sterling employees who participate in the Secured Supply Chain Program carry a security clearance and all information transmitted is done within a secured environment.

The Sterling Secured Supply Chain program activities include:

• Credentialing of participants in the supply chain
• Screening and validating of the contents of the cargo being shipped
• Advanced notification of the contents to the customer
• Ensuring the security of cargo, while in-transit, via the use of locks and tamper-proof seals
• Valid inspection of cargo at destination
